Don’t neglect your health cos of this pandemic. Keep up with taking your medications as prescribed and if you have run out of your medications, call your doctor’s office to have refills sent to your pharmacy.
Also, don’t neglect your wellness visit with your PCP. Most clinics conduct this visit via telemedicine (phone, video). If you don’t have a PCP, get one. Because of the pandemic, many PCPs are allowing new patients to establish care via telemedicine appointment.
Emergencies are still emergencies.
Some of the same rules from pre-pandemic days apply: Sudden chest pain, weakness in one side of the face or body, or sudden difficulty breathing are all red-alert symptoms. Call 911 or go to the nearest ER ASAP.
“If you feel as though this is a … situation that can’t wait, that would make you pick up and go to the urgent care or the hospital, call your PCP”
